Following popular demand, UFO have been confirmed to join Saxon at HRH 9
The last time UFO appeared at the festival was back at HRH 4 in a performance that blew fans away. With another 5 years’ worth of material plus all the legendary classics, this will be a a show not to be missed. Here is a clip from the HRH 4 performance.
With Saxon already announced, I don’t think anyone can complain about the pulling power of these legendary acts and that is without taking into account the stellar supporting line up that has already started to be assembled. Along with UFO, the good people at HRH have also announced six more bands to be added to the likes of Black Spiders, Rock Goddess, Pig Iron and more.
World super bike champion James Toseland’s aptly named band Toseland are amongst the names announced this morning. With some exciting performances already under their belt, this high energy Rock Outfit will find themselves right at home with the HRH fan base.
If you haven’t seen Toseland at one of their numerous shows and festival appearance or heard them on the likes of Planet Rock already, here is a little taster of what to expect.
Next up are Danish Hard Rock heroes SuperCharger, if you ain’t seen them yet, then we’re sure you’ll love this well-kept secret from up North. These Danes are seriously underated and with some great hooks and killer guitar solos, are well worth checking out.
The video for their track Blood Red Lips is as good a place as any to start.
HRH veterans Screaming Eagles will be returning to perform once more in front of the HRH faithful. They had the recent honour of being placed on the soundtrack for the latest season of hit American Drama , ” Justified” and will be bringing new material with them as their latest album will be released this spring. Another HRH veteran returning after a small hiatus is Trucker Diablo who are about to release a new album and will be bringing this new music with them when they return to the festival this November.
As is custom with HRH, no line up announcement is complete without a couple of new bands to add some intrigue to the line up. HRH rarely disappoint with the new bands they pick for the festival and Sky Valley Mistress are no exception. Their EP Rivals, Hounds and Rebel Sisters was one of my top 10 releases of 2014 and can be downloaded for free at their Bandcamp page along with a very interesting cover of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid.
Check out this video to get an idea of what I am talking about.
Finally, joining Sky Valley Mistress as the latest up and coming band to be added to the bill is King Creature. I know very little about this band except that they are from Cornwall and, from the video below, fit very much into the Southern/Stoner rock end of the rock spectrum. I will certainly be seeking them out at this years festival.
Well that’s it for this latest announcement. The full line up is below and is starting to shape up very nicely indeed.
Turn on, Tune in, Rock out!
